PROFESSOR CHINMOY SANKAR
DEY ELECTED AS PRESTIGIOUS
J.C. BOSE FELLOW BY THE GOVT. OF INDIA
Professor
Chinmoy Sankar Dey, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, National
Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar
has been selected as J.C. Bose Fellow instituted by the Department of
Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. As indicated by DST “The
fellowship is meant to recognize active scientists and engineers for their
outstanding performance and contributions” and it is meant for them “who
have a proven track record as evident from their research publications and
recognitions”. As part of this honor Dr. Dey will receive Rs. 12.00 lakhs
(Rs 20,000 per month, in addition to the regular salary, over 5 years). In
addition, the he will also receive Rs. 5.00 lakhs per annum for 5 years
for conferences and other expenses.
